What Our Clients Say

Trusted across military bases, federal entities, and high-reliability industrial workspaces.

"With 19 years in the electrical career field as a USAF Senior Master Sergeant, I hold technical training to the highest standard. Having worked directly under Mark, I've witnessed his expertise and ability to turn complex requirements into practical knowledge. From MAJCOM-level nuclear surety inspections to conventional and nuclear LPS programs and B-21 facility design reviews, Mark's experience is second to none. Patriot Lighting Solutions, LLC has my full endorsement"

SMSgt Blake Meyer
Operations Superintendant, USAF

"I have worked closely with Mr. Butler since 2007. Through the years, I have been deeply impressed by his technical expertise and professionalism, his commitment to mentoring and his contributions in the field of Lightning Protection. I witnessed Mark's dedication and leadership at work, when he, as Foreman, led a large Civil Engineer Electrical Systems Shop for a decade. His side-by-side work with his crews built a system of trust as they learned from him and began teaching their own subordinates. He has contributed to tri-year updates in military and commercial procedures as electronics have become more sensitive and is focused on remaining on the edge of new guidance as IEEE, et.al., improve lightning protection and will pass these changes to his students and those he mentors, through future updates. His constant involvement with the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), has resulted in identifying deviations in multiple designs, ensuring that those designs are compliant with current guidance, protecting both ordinary and explosives facilities, and preparing the beddown of GEN VI aircraft which support two-way data sharing with intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) platforms. I have reviewed his thorough four-day LPS training curriculum in depth. Not only does it provide lightning basics and theory, it provides on-site guidance focusing on testing and inspections. Reviews are thorough, contributing to healthy discussion and a good, overall knowledge of the material, construction methods and testing & acceptance requirements established in NFPA 780, applicable DAFMANs, UFCs and relative explosives training in DESR 6055.09. With this attention to detail and reputation, he and this Patriot Lightning Solutions team/course have my full endorsement. "
